Your products use essential oils, what are essential oils?
Essential oils are extracted from various parts of a plant including its seeds, leaves, stems, roots, bark, flowers, needles, or fruits. Depending on what oil and what result you want from that oil will depend on which plant essential oil you use. In some cases, one plant can produce different essential oils based on where that oil is being extracted. Essential oils are found in microscopic, specialized glands within certain plants. Its organic molecules have been used since ancient Egypt. We have evidence of its medicinal value as far back as antiquity days as seen in the old testament which references oils over 200 times. Today, we use these precious oils for medicinal healing. Our brand is the only brand that is GRAS by the FDA which means; Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS).

Where do you get your essential oils?
We are Wellness Advocates for doTERRA International. We use only doTERRA because they are the only essential oil that provides efficacious essential oils; oils that go through the same stringent testing as pharmaceutical drugs. This testing is also submitted to over three different third-party testing agencies. Why does it matter that we use only the best essential oils?
We are still discovering the power within essential oils. Recent research showed that using adulterated essential oils [oils that have particles, rements, fillers] can actually harm the DNA. Almost all essential oils purchased over the counter have adulterations and most that are 2nd dealers online oftentimes add fillers or other oils to the essential oil. We acquire our essential oils from the only company that guarantees its purity. Since our primary desire is to help others heal from the root cause, we only use the best products available.
What is a carrier oil?
We use a variety of carrier oils in our blends depending on what we are trying to achieve. Carrier oils are oils extracted from plant nut seeds such as coconuts, shea, avocado, olives, sunflowers, jojoba, and apricot. The carrier oil is a thicker oil that carries the essential oil into the skin. Carrier oils in their own right are very good for the skin and offer different properties such as vitamins and antioxidants.
How is your company sustainable and green?
Our company uses paper packaging when shipping. We use BPA-free glass bottles for our product containers and offer buybacks on our packaging to repurpose and reuse. Our production facility uses solar for our electrical power. And we just switched over to all paper labels and paper bags for packaging. We strive to reduce waste and look to save our customers on shipping costs and product packaging, without sacrificing product quality.
Do you have a retail store?
We carry our products in retail stores, doctor's offices, pharmacies, general stores, and boutiques. We do not have a retail front but we do offer appointments for product pick up or delivery. We also ship in the US and Canada.

How long have you been in business?
We started to learn about holistic living in 2008. We started creating educational classes and teaching for years on wellness and during that time began to help people with various health issues. We did pop up and events at the local farmer's markets. Covid stopped our classes but we stayed busy making products for customers. The medicinal products were the first items we began with back in 2014. As needs arose and customers asked for products we expanded. Soaps and candles started in 2016. if we were going to get into the skincare venue we were going ot be the healthiest possible option out there. It took many years of research and development. Happy Dog line came in 2018 due to a problem with our dog after buying a "natural" product. We decided to not take any chances and started to make them ourselves. Then came the Beautiful Face line.
Do you have a goat farm?
Our soap partners own a goat farm which we get our goat milk from and we also buy our goat milk from an Amish farm in Hamptonville, NC.
Why is our goat milk better?
The goats are a Kiko breed of goats that were originally bred in Australia for clearing fields. This breed produces more milk than a dairy goat and they have been known to be more resistant to disease. Our goats eat all-natural foods including kudzu. Ironically kudzu offers super high amounts of vitamins and nutrients and is easy on their digestive system. They also get fed alfalfa and other natural foods. The other big difference with our milk is that these animals are never given hormones, harsh chemicals, or not given shots or deworms since they are not used for dairy products. We just use the milk for making soap so they are not regulated by the FDA. The goat milk is 100% clean since they don't have the shots.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes, we offer sales specials often. Look for our email blasts for sales. We offer 10% off for any referrals our customers send to us. If you refer a new customer you get 10% off your next purchase or a free soap. We also offer specials for buying in bulk. The more soaps you purchase the better the value. The same is true for candles.
Do you source all your products from the US?
Yes, we buy and support American companies.
Who makes all of your products?
Our family and a few friends that we have taught.
What does it mean that you donate 10% of the proceeds?
We give 10% of the gross sale to 503c charities that we have established a relationship with including Samaritans Purse, GFA (Gospel for Asia), C.H.I.L.D (Children's Health Institute for Lifetime Development), YoungLife Capernaum, Meaningful Life International.
Do you make small batches or custom items for groups?

Will you make a custom item for. one person?
We do medicinal custom orders often. We can try and accommodate other requests but as the costs of goods rise it is difficult to do small runs. If you have a specific request just email us at pureoiilproducts@gmail.com
Why can't I purchase all your items online?
Our products are made without toxic shelf preservatives, many of which are linked to allergies, sickness, and disease. Our products don't have to have a 4-5 shelf lifecycle. We do small batches so our products are always fresh and effective. There are some products that are shelf stable due to their natural ingredients like candles, solid lotions, lip balms, body butter, etc. Although we do short runs (comparatively) than large box stores, we can ship these out easier than the made-to-order items.
How long do your products last?
I think the better question back to you is, how long do you want a product to last? Most of our products can last 6-12 months before they start to break down. By breaking down we mean the bases get liquidy and the essential oils are not as robust and as effective. You want to get in the habit of using a natural item up and repurchasing after it's gone, not buying so many items to sit on yourself. Same concept as your food. If your bread lasts longer than a few days you need to wonder what's in the bread to make it artificially last that long and then think about that chemical going into your body.
Why did the last batch look different?
Everything we do is by hand. Although we have our recipes for all our products and we work to always provide you with the same consistency you are used to there may be slight color differences or the thickness might be slightly different. The effectiveness in terms of the essential oil and the quality should always be the same as the essential oils we use are efficacious.
