Why we make our candles
Making clean-burning candles was important to us. We didn’t want to expose our special needs son to toxins that added adverse side effects for him or us. Plus, the candles helped to calm him.
The sound of the soft wick burning, the earth-inspired essential oil aromas, and the candle wax’s ability to be used topically as a lotion contributed to positive sensory experiences for his emotional system.
Made with organic materials, our candles contain no toxins, colorants, dyes, phthalates, lead, or parabens. Safe to use as a lotion once the wax is warm and liquid. Our candles also burn better and longer than other candles. Our custom coconut/soy/shea-blended wax burns at a much lower temperature, which creates a longer burn time and a greater value for your investment. Our wax holds the aroma molecules, so the entire candle smells amazing throughout the burn time. This candle purifies the air, unlike petroleum byproduct (paraffin) candles, which release harmful toxins like benzene.

How to use:
Light the wick and let the lotion warm up. Once the candle wax is warmed up, blow out the candle and use the lotion on your hands to warm the oils and omit the aroma into your body. Inhale the aroma and gently massage the lotion on the skin.

The Artisan-Made Pottery Collection uses the same coconut/soy/shea wax as our Southern Blaze Jar Collection, poured into handmade pottery vessels. They are one of a kind and specially handmade in Maine, USA.
We have partnered with an amazing woman in Maine who designs these heart-shaped candle vessels for us to pour our natural wax into. These unique heart-shaped containers are perfect for pouring out the candle wax to use as a lotion on your hands once the wax is warm. Each piece is hand-designed and is a one-of-a-kind pottery candle. After the candle wax is done, you can use your pottery to store berries, candies, or other foods, as the glaze is safe for consumption. Or, give back to us to pour the wax for a small charge.
